Cobalt Labs builds tools for independent operators and is investing seriously in AI. We need an AI strategist who can hold the line between what's possible and what's useful — someone who turns capability into product decisions, not demos.

You'll own the AI roadmap, partner with engineering and product, and decide where we build, where we buy, and where we wait. We care about judgment under uncertainty, not hype.

§ 02WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

By month six: there's a clear AI roadmap the team trusts, two shipped features that customers use weekly, and a documented framework for what we say no to.

01. Describe an AI decision you made that the team pushed back on. What did you do?
02. How do you decide what to build versus buy versus wait on?
03. Tell us about a time you killed a promising AI feature because it wasn't useful.
